Interpreting services

Interpreting (or Interpretation) refers to the spoken word, translation to the written word. It is the practice of facilitating oral and sign-language communication, either simultaneously or consecutively, between two or more users of different languages. Functionally, an interpreter is a person who converts a thought or expression of a source language into an expression with a comparable meaning in a target language in "real time". The interpreter's role is to convey every semantic element (tone and register) and every intention and feeling of the message that the source-language speaker is directing to the target-language recipients.

We provide interpreters for almost any event. Our team of interpreters consist of liaison interpreters, consecutive interpreters and simultaneous or conference interpreters.

BUSINESS
Our business interpreters are NAATI accredited at a professional level (level III) or advanced level (level IV). NAATI accreditation is the only qualification officially accepted for the profession of Translation and Interpreting in Australia. We provide NAATI professional and advanced interpreters for almost any language or industry in Australia, the most commonly requested being Asian and European languages for business, legal, medical and technical (mining...) interpretation services.

CONFERENCE
Our conference interpreters are NAATI accredited at an advanced level (level IV) or senior level (level V) and are members of AIIC, the International Association for Conference Interpreters.

COMMUNITY
For less common languages we have interpreters available accredited at a NAATI paraprofessional level (level II). Paraprofessional interpreters provide interpreting services for the community, also called community interpreting.

BOOKINGS
Bookings will not be taken more than 3 months or less than 2 days prior to the assignment date and a booking of minimum two hours is required for each assignment. Contact us to learn about our fees, conditions and availability.
