Absolute Translations provides editing and proofreading services in more than 120 languages and dialects. Our aim is to ensure a translation is absolutely accurate in every respect, observing integrity of content, adaptation to the target market, respect for cultural intricacies, and correctness of grammar, spelling, tone, style, register and format.
Translation, editing and proofreading process:
Documents are presented to us for translation in soft or hard copy. We will review the files and contact our team of translators to discuss the assignment and review the source text. Once the initial stage of QA is complete, the translators will commence their work. Our translators will always check existing websites and any other related content in order to remain consistent with existing terminology.
Once the translation is complete, it will be sent for review to carefully selected independent reviewers to be checked against the source text, proofread and edited, in order to ensure the translation is absolutely accurate in every respect, observing integrity of content, adaptation to the target market, respect for cultural intricacies, and correctness of grammar, spelling, tone, style, register and format.
When the work is complete, the translation will be proofed and edited for compliance with the required format by a third translator before delivery to the client in MS Word.
The team:
We employ carefully selected, appropriately qualified and accredited and highly experienced translators and reviewers. Our linguists all have tertiary qualifications and, apart from being specialised in Translation and Applied Linguistics, they also have vast expertise in such areas as Mining, Engineering, Finance, Law, HSEC, Science etc. This additional expertise is indispensable in order to ensure the translations we deliver are accurate in all respects.
We will always employ the same translator and reviewer team for your translations at all times, even if the source copy is split into different parts and presented to us at different times. Note however, that if a document contains specialised terminology, we will employ a translator and reviewer team specialised in that particular field (e.g. Geology, Economics etc.).
